Napoleon, Ohio -- July 3, 2003 --ProTeam recently had the distinct honor of having three of it's 1953 Corvette's accepted for the 2003 Bloomington Gold Historical Display at Bloomington's recent event in St. Charles, Ill. The cars accepted were, serial no. 62 which is a perfect example of an authentically restored 1953 Corvette which has a NCRS National Top Flight, NCRS Duntov Mark of Excellence, and Bloomington Gold Special Collection just to name a few awards. Serial no. 77 which a well known custom 53 that was built by Buster Dobbs of Knoxville, Tn. in 1959 and serial no. 158 known as the "Restoration Celebration" restored to concours condition and believed to be the finest 1953 in the world. A panel of four Bloomington judge's were selected to review each car and it's documentation in detail to determine qualification for the very prestigious Historical Award. ProTeam's representative Mike Chilcote was required to give complete descriptions and present the documentation to the panel of judges and the large crowd that had gathered to watch the event. The result was all three cars were awarded the Bloomington Gold Historical Award complete with certificates and Historical Award license plate. ProTeam would like to thank the Bloomington Gold organization for giving us the honor of participating in this very special event.
