1963 Split Window Coupe Tankers • Perfect Bookends for the Collector 150X..1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe Z06 Tanker, 327-360 hp, (fuelie), 4 speed, numbers match. Riverside Red paint with Tuxedo Black interior. Body-off restored. NCRS Top Flight certified, Bloomington certified, Gold Spinner award from the Vette Fest Nationals (April 2006), and the recent NCRS Regional Flight certification (May 2006). Extremely rare Z06 with heavy duty brakes, suspension, air scoops (1 of 199), and the ultra-rare 36 gallon tank option (1 of 63)... also a radio delete car optioned with power brakes, posi, heavy duty suspension, fuel injection, hubcaps, and 6.70x15" white stripe tires. Most all factory correct type components. Jack Moore (the original owner), raced this car from 1963 until 1965 on courses from Canada to Daytona. Jack Moore participated in a NASA sponsored experiment that was titled "Responses of Healthy Subjects to the Stresses of Selected Athletic Events." Jack was monitored by NASA's researchers at the 1963 Watkins Glen Grand Prix USRRC Manufacturers Race held June 28th through 30th, 1963 and again at Bridgehampton, September 13th and 14th, 1963. This car also has been listed on the Tanker Survey for many years.
