1039D..1957 Corvette Convertible "Factory Air Box" Fuelie (283-283 hp), 4 speed with heavy duty racing suspension, brakes, shocks, 5-1/2" wide wheels and 8,000 RPM column mounted mechanical AC tachometer. This Triple Crown winner is radio and heater delete. The VIN is #5116 and it is Polo White with Venetian Red interior and Black soft top. Super rare optioned, ie: RPO-579E (1 of 43), RPO-684 (1 of 51), RPO-276 (1 of 51), RPO-685 (1 of 664), and includes fresh air intake to the fuel injection from the air box. Bloomington Gold certified, NCRS Top Flight, Gold Spinner award, and Triple Crown certified. This car also has a 2012 affidavit from Corvette Air Box specialist Richard G. Robinson who spent 625 hours on a body-off engine-out restoration for the previous owner in 2007 and 2008. This car also has a well-known provenance and chain of ownership from 1957 (Hawaii) and was editorialized in the Corvette Restorer magazine multiple times during its ownership by Ray Masciarella II of Florida.
