These original unmolested cars are among the rarest of rare and are rising to the top of the Corvette food chain as unrestored cars are used as guideposts for restorers, shining a light on the way vehicles were originally built. The engine, transmission, and rear are all numbers matching. Also has an affirmation by CCAS, LLC/Al Grenning as to the legitimacy and originality of the trim tag, engine pad and stampings. NCRS Top Flight award in August 2010 and obvious of a car that has received meticulous care and maintenance since new. It is very interesting to note that there is a large time gap between the body assembly date and the final assembly date, and per CCAS/Al Grenning, this gap is normal and expected for A.O.Smith bodies in this production sequence and is because of the Fall 1966 labor strike at the Ionia, Michigan plant. Production date of January 17th, 1967 and delivered new by Bass Chevrolet in Warrensville Heights, OH (dealer code 32 in zone 28) per the official NCRS/GM Shipping Data Records (SDR).
