1006R..1964 Corvette Coupe , 327-300 hp, air conditioned, 4 speed, numbers matching original motor, transmission and rear end, also has factory original body/trim tag, 29,329 actual miles. Ermine White paint with Riverside Red interior. Highly original and in show condition. Bloomington Gold Benchmark certified including the Bloomington Gold Survivor award. Also multiple NCRS judging awards including a NCRS National Top Flight. These original unmolested cars are among the rarest of rare and are rising to the top of the Corvette food chain as unrestored cars are used as guideposts for restorers, shining a light on the way vehicles were originally built and represent the standards which historians, judges, and future restorers can use to determine factory authenticity. The solid feel of an excellent unrestored car cannot be overstated! It's interesting to note that the Frigikar air conditioning was installed by the delivery dealer on June 12, 1964. Optioned with Frigikar air conditioner, M-20, 3.36 rear, AM/FM radio, tinted windshield, hubcaps, and 6.70x15" white stripe tires. Most all factory correct type components including the spare, jack, jack tools, shocks, seat belts, washer system, shifter, shielding, air cleaner, alternator, distributor, spark plug shields, hoses, hose clamps, intake, carb, voltage regulator, ball joints, tie rods, idler arms, window glass, exhaust heat shields, expansion tank, radiator, gas door assembly, bowtie mirror, glove box door, owners manual, sales brochure, and T-3 headlights. Documented with the Chevrolet dealer's buyers order, receipt for payment, canceled checks, salesman's card, Frigikar warranty card/receipt to Wood Chevrolet, Bloomington Gold/NCRS certificates and judging sheets. This 3 to 4 owner car also has copies of old titles and bill of sales and was editorialized in June 2010 Corvette Fever magazine. This car is one of the elite few recipients of America’s most prestigious Corvette awards, the happy result of a lifetime of diligent care and discerning use. It was judged worthy of Bloomington Gold Certification, Survivor and Benchmark honors, the latter being the most important of all to the demanding collector. Benchmark Certification recognizes each recipient as not only unrestored—a quality recognized in Survivor judging—but also that it remains in showroom condition, exactly as it was upon delivery from the factory with the exception of aging. These qualities make it the perfect source of reference for a top-quality restoration of a like car, ergo the term “Benchmark.” Benchmark Certification is only awarded to cars that have achieved both Gold and Survivor on the same weekend, qualify in all four Survivor categories. Benchmark is, by definition, the most important distinction in the entire Corvette judging regime, one awarded to fewer than 228 Corvettes 1953 to 1972 and only 9 were 1964's as of this writing. Looks, runs, and drives excellent. CC:1 $129,000.00 Share on Facebook Questions/Comments? Email proteam@proteamcorvette.com |
