1005T..1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe, 327-300 hp with rare factory air powerglide numbers matching original motor, transmission and rear end, also has factory original body/trim tag, 54,818 actual miles. Also has an affirmation by CCAS/Grenning as to the legitimacy and originality of the engine block, stamp pad, and the engine stamp. Sebring Silver paint with Tuxedo Black interior. Amazing original unrestored unmolested survivor in excellent condition including its factory applied paint and interior showing only the light patina of age. These original unmolested cars are among the rarest of rare and are rising to the top of the Corvette food chain as unrestored cars are used as guideposts for restorers, shining a light on the way vehicles were originally built and represent the standards which historians, judges, and future restorers can use to determine factory authenticity. The solid feel of an excellent unrestored car cannot be overstated! This car was once owned by pioneering collector and Carlisle events/Corvettes at Carlisle co-founder, the late Chip Miller. In fact it was a part of Chip’s collection for almost 3 decades. That fact alone is perhaps the highest praise of all! Chip bought this car in 1977 from its second owner with 50,269 actual miles with 100% original paint, interior and mechanicals. The seat belts at that time had never been used. This car remained in his possession until his untimely passing in 2004. It was sold by Chip’s estate in 2006 and subsequently acquired by the Paul and Chris Andrews collection in Texas and then sold in 2015 to Terence E. Adderley for his Bloomfield Hills, MI collection and recently acquired by Corvette guru Terry Michaelis who always has an eye on quality rare original Corvettes. This car is definitely a candidate for Bloomington Gold Benchmark. Optioned with factory air (one of only 278 produced), powerglide, 3.36 posi, J-65 metallic brakes, AM/FM radio, stainless steel exhaust, tinted glass, hubcaps and vintage 6.70x15" white stripe tires. Most all factory correct type components including the spare, jack, jack tools, clear floor mats, shocks, seat belts, washer system, shifter, shielding, A/C only air cleaner, A/C alternator, distributor, spark plug shields, hoses, hose clamps, window glass, valve covers, one-year only A/C compressor mounting brackets, starter, #3460S carb, ball joints, exhaust heat shields, expansion tank, radiator, gas door assembly, bowtie mirror, glove box door, cookie tin hood, owners manual, sales brochure, and T-3 headlights. Documented with the window sticker, NCRS/GM records validation certificate, CCAS/Grenning Engine Stamp Affirmation, and a large 3-ring binder with contents list in our photos. The window sticker was validated to be authentic on March 18th, 2024 by NCRS after their review of official GM records. The first year production air conditioned 1963 Corvettes are quite unique in comparison to the 1964-67 A/C Corvettes as there are over 25 items that are unique to the 1963 A/C Corvettes and it takes a trained eye to know and determine a real deal of which we have done. Production date of May 29th, 1963 and delivered new by E.W. Ruppert, INC in Tremont, PA. (dealer code 475 in zone 49) per the official NCRS/GM Shipping Data Records (SDR). This car has had a lifetime of diligent care and discerning use and maintenance to be as nice and original as it is. This was and is a crusade for preservation and the archeological automobile! Today, the one-year only split window remains one of the most iconic designs in the history of the American automobile and as a result, the 278 factory built air conditioned 1963's are simply in a league of their own. Looks, runs, and drives excellent. CC:1 SALE PENDING Share on Facebook Questions/Comments? Email proteam@proteamcorvette.com |
