1029H..1960 Corvette Convertible, two tops, RPO-687, 283-290 hp, (fuelie), 4 speed, numbers matching original motor. Roman Red paint with Black interior and Black soft top. Very original four owner unmolested and unrestored car with mostly original paint on a NO HIT body. NCRS Second Flight awardin 2012 and recently invited and displayed at the Concours d'Elegance of Texas in April 2016. Also has been presented to a 2013 NCRS Regional for Bowtie Sign-off. Still has its 5 original 5-1/2" big brake wheels, fast steering adapter, heavy duty suspension, AT rear end, transmission, engine, finned brake drums, off road exhaust, and hardtop wrench. Optioned with auxiliary hardtop, T-10 transmission, 4.11 posi for RPO-687, RPO-687 special heavy duty suspension and brakes, Wonderbar radio, off road exhaust, sunvisors, courtesy light, heater, hubcaps, and 6.70x15" blackwall tires. Most all factory correct type components including the spare, jack, jack tools, trunk mat, trunk liner, rebound straps, seat belts, shifter, shielding, air cleaner, generator, distributor, spark plug shields, hoses, hose clamps, grooved rear springs, valve covers, F.I. unit, F.I. fuel filter, guide Y-50 mirror, owners manual, sales brochure, and T-3 headlights. Well-documented car including the owner history since new, old titles back to second owner (1962), service records/maintenance receipts back to 1963, NCRS certificate/judging sheets, Bowtie candidate paperwork, and a large document binder. These original unmolested cars are among the rarest of rare and are rising to the top of the Corvette food chain as unrestored cars are used as guideposts for restorers, shining a light on the way vehicles were originally built. The solid feel of an excellent unrestored car cannot be overstated! This is a 56-year old car that is as pure as they come. The RPO-687 race package was only produced for 119 Corvettes in 1960!
