NSN-104…1955 Corvette Convertible, 265-195 hp, OHV V-8, 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission, VIN 104, original motor and correct stampings. Polo White with Sportsman Red interior Original side curtain windows, hubcaps and dashboard knobs restored by Steve Newsom. New and correct Al Knoch interior including door panels, dash pad, carpets and seat covers, (seat frames are original). Convertible top made from original patterns by Adam Parker using original materials on original top frame. No. 104 of only 700 Corvette Roadsters produced in 1955. The first year for the V-8 Corvette. Professional nut and bolt no expense spared restoration completed in 2017 by Michael Capozzio of Classic Corvette Restorations of Chardon, Ohio. Two-time NCRS Top Flight Award winner for scoring 98.5 points out of 100 points at a regional event. Correct factory production stencil, markings and VIN stamp on frame. NO HIT body with no patch panels. Independent front suspension with coil springs. Live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs. Restored original 4-wheel hydraulic drum brakes, Carter WCFB2218S carburetor with tag, intake manifold with proper stamping and date codes, Delco Remy 086 ignition coil, ignition shielding, ceramic-coated exhaust manifolds, Eaton vented gas cap, AC547 7# radiator cap, tombstone exhaust riser. Correct reproduction Gardner exhaust components, air filter and chrome air filter housing, fan shroud, radiator and hoses, spiral shocks, rear suspension rebound straps. Restored original Duntov-designed tailpipes complete with baffles for downward exhaust discharge. 12 volt electrical system. Restored original gauges Most all factory correct type components including the restored original jack and lug wrench, heater, parking brake alarm, original Wonderbar radio (restored by D&M Restoration), original rear view mirror, original windshield wiper motor (restored), re-chromed grille, courtesy lights, original non-DOT headlights (functional), period correct Firestone bias ply tires. Documented with original factory 1955 Corvette brochure and restoration photos. Previous North Carolina, Oklahoma and California ownership history. SOLD
